Discover Málaga's Caminito del Rey, historically known as one of the most spectacular hiking trails in the world. A total walking route of 7.7 km over approximately 4 hours, including access trails and connecting paths leading to the entrance checkpoint where you will receive your helmet to begin the official 4.8 km route. A spectacular trail across bridges, tunnels, canyons, and boardwalks attached to vertical cliffs over a hundred meters high. One of the best in Spain.
Our round-trip bus service, complete with our accompanying staff, admission ticket, and the hiking route conducted by an expert local guide, is the most comfortable way to visit this stunning natural setting from Málaga or the Costa del Sol.
During the bus ride toward Ardales, you can relax and enjoy the Andalusian landscape. Once in town, we will make a brief stop where you can have breakfast at your leisure (not included), before continuing to the northern entrance of Caminito del Rey, the starting point of the walk.
Built between 1901 and 1905 during the era's industrial expansion, this unique site is considered a major engineering milestone. Guided by a local expert passionate about the area, you will uncover the region's history, secret spots, and the story behind building these boardwalks between the Gaitanes and Gaitanejo gorges.
Walk through tunnels carved into the rock, admire the Guadalhorce River dam, and descend the famous "chocolate staircase" surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. Don't forget to take photos from the "glass balcony"—a platform where you can see the canyon directly beneath your feet from a height of over a hundred meters. Walk along nearly three kilometers of pedestrian boardwalks suspended over the gorge before reaching the iconic suspension bridge. After crossing the canyon and returning your protective helmet at the southern exit point in El Chorro, the bus will be waiting to take you back to your starting point in Málaga or the Costa del Sol.
