Bring water, sun protection and comfortable shoes — the old town is all cobbles and walking. Santa Cruz and the parks stay shaded; Plaza de España in full sun is glorious but fierce. Spring and autumn are the sweet spot.
Is one day enough?
Seville deserves more than a day — Triana, a flamenco night, the Alcázar palace all take time you won't have. But the headline sights sit close together, so a day trip genuinely delivers the essence: the Cathedral, Plaza de España and Santa Cruz in one go, back to the coast by evening. It's the classic Andalusian city seen properly, if not exhaustively — and if it grabs you, you'll know to come back for a weekend.
